Done [Aug. 11th, 2005|09:36 pm]
[mood | content]
[music |Anything by Ben Folds]

Anyway I think I am retiring my live journal. At least for now. I have realized that myspace also functions as a journal so there is no reason to have two. I don't think anyone should have trouble accessing my blog on myspace but if you do please tell me. I might post in live journal every once in a while. I dunno....anyway you miserable fucks know where to find me. Peace out.

Ben Folds [Aug. 8th, 2005|01:42 am]
[mood | gloomy]
[music |A lack of color: Death Cab for Cutie, Hysteria: Muse]

My life has not been fun recently. It has been completely boring. Nothing fun ever happens in this town. I have high hopes for this year though. I get to see Ben Folds this Wednesday which will kick ass. In a week and a half I leave for school which I am really pumped about. The only movie I've seen recently was Wedding Crashers...definitely hilarious. Well that's it! That completely sums up the past two weeks! I am a lost soul....

The Island [Jul. 24th, 2005|03:22 pm]
[mood | bored]
[music |Bedshaped - Keane]

I saw The Island yesterday. Talk about a sweet ass movie. It had everything. Great story, acting, and special effects. The action scenes were amazing. It's too bad Steve Buschemi didn't have a bigger part though. That guy rocks. Anyway I am bored out of my skull right now. Barely anything interesting has happened to me in the past week.

One fucked up movie [Jul. 16th, 2005|01:33 am]
[mood | drained]
[music |Eriatarka - The Mars Volta]

I just saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight. It was a pretty fucked up movie. I liked it. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton make a good combo. There were a lot of similarities to the original, but the end was completely different. Overall I would definitely recommend it to anyone who liked the original. It was pretty fun comparing the two.

Wow! [Jul. 9th, 2005|11:41 pm]
[mood | grateful]
[music |Different - Acceptance]

I live for moments like these. Moments that are so great that you don't even know if they are really happening or not. You all may be wondering what I'm talking about. Let me fill you in. Today I was informed that one of my favorite rock groups, The Smashing Pumpkins, are getting back together! This is unreal for me because I never thought it would ever happen. I was aware that Billy Corgan, the lead singer, wanted to get the band back together, but I never actually thought it would happen after the shit he pulled on his Xanga. Most of you probably don't know the story behind that. Let's just say Billy has been bitching about a lot of people lately and blaming his follies on everyone else. Luckily his band mates are still willing to take him back. So here it is: for the first time in around eight years, the most influential grunge-rock back of the early 90s is back! I only hope they don't suck this time around......

P.S.

I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I still maintain that War of the Worlds was a great movie.

Quantum Leap [Jul. 6th, 2005|04:22 pm]
[mood | sick]
[music |The First Single - The Format]

Well I just got back from the Ozarks today. The trip really sucked! It was the exact opposite of L.A. There was never anything to do and we were surrounded by rednecks the whole week. One good thing did come from the trip however: Quantum Leap. That show is sweet! My cousin had the seasons on DVD so we just watched them most of the time we were there. I can't believe I'd never seen the show before. If you've never seen it your really missing out!

The Ozarks [Jun. 27th, 2005|05:04 pm]
[mood | blank]
[music |Run - Snow Patrol]

Well I just got back from Cali this morning. I must say it's really depressing to have to come back to the humidity and general shittyness of central Illinois when you've just spent a week in a much more beautiful place. The trip was really fun though! We went everywhere in L.A. We went to Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu, Downtown L.A., Hollywood, Venice Beach, and everywhere in between. Another busy week is fast approaching. I leave again for another vacation this friday. I'm going to the ozarks to camp and won't be back until next wednesday. It should be fun even though I'm a little burned out from Cali.

[mood | excited]
[music |Chocolate - Snow Patrol]

Well this will probably be my last entry for about a week because I leave for L.A. tomorrow! I just figured I would let you all know. I can't wait. There will be so many cool people out there as well as hot girls. The scene is great too. Everything about this trip is going to rock. Well I'm not going to waste anymore of your time with mindless drivel. I'm out - see you all in a week!

The Past Week - Everything From Drunk Idiots to The Death of Night Walks [Jun. 15th, 2005|11:41 pm]
[mood | decent]
[music |White Shadows - Coldplay]

Listen up people. My laptop hasn't been working right recently so I'm using my shitty downstairs desktop. All lot of shit has gone down in the past week that I haven't been able to write about, so this will be a long entry. Therefore, I will divide it up into sections. Here goes.

The Death of Night Walks-
A few nights ago the era of night walks came to a sudden end. This particular night walk occured a lakeland. We walked down the same path, sat for a while and talked and everything was going fine...until we left. When we neared the gate a shadowy figure approached us. Suddenly a bright light shined in our face and everything began to make sense. This was a cop. We were ambushed. We spotted another cop a second later. They took our information and checked us out to make sure we were clean. A few minutes passed and a third cop showed up. I guess walking in a park after hours is a big deal these days. We weren't doing any harm, but according to the cops people come out at night a poach fish and hunt deer. Fuck those people. All in all, we got off just fine. They sent us on our way and told us that we could no longer walk there at night. Oh well. It was decent while it lasted.

Crazy Cremeens-
A couple nights ago Cremeens decided to hang out with us for the first time in months. Whenever we hang out with Cremeens, crazy shit happens. This night was no exception. Everything started out normal. We were driving around for a long time trying to find something to do. At one point Cremeens pulls over out of nowhere and tells us that we're going to walk from this point after walking about two blocks, he decided he was too lazy so we went back to the car. So we're driving around and we go down this weird street over by Hardee's. All of the sudden, he pulls over again. We walk over to this dilapidated old house on this crazy ass hill with steps leading up to it that are all crooked and shit and just don't make much sense in general. At this point I'm just wondering what the fuck is going on. As we get ready to enter the house this huge raging drunk guy comes out screaming at us. He chases Cremeens down the street. After a while, Cremeens does gain entry to the house. That leaves me and Zink outside with this drunk guy. I'm scared shitless because I think this beastie mofo is gonna kill me. Oh and during this whole thing the drink guy is on the phone with his girlfriend who has just told him she doesn't love him anymore. This guy is crying and saying all sorts of weird shit. A prime example is when he pointed at his Superman shirt and said "What does this mean? Who gave this to me?" He puts me on the phone and tells me to ask her who gave this shirt to him. Well I guess she did. This guy was so wasted. Somehow at this point Zink gains entry. Now I'm all alone with this drunk guy who keeps telling me not to b afraid of him and that he will beat me up if I am afraid of him. Then he tells me to punch him in the face and to curb stomp him because he doesn't want to live anymore. After a while he lets me go into the house but only after telling me that he loves me and kissing my hand. Wow. Once inside the house I tell Cremeens to get me the hell out of there. So we leave. Nothing to great happens after that. Once I get home however, I realize that my car has been egged. Shit.

Eggs and Blocked Calls-
The next day I get a call from a blocked number. I answer. The only thing the guy says is "I egged your car bitch." Over the next few minutes I continue to get these blocked calls. I will answer and while I'm trying to talk another person will call from a blocked number. Weird shit. Over the past few days I have continued to get these blocked calls periodically. They seem completely random and I been trying to figure out who has beend fucking with me. Tonight after we watched Batman Begins (awesome movie) I got more of these calls. I handed the phone to Dylan and he told the fuckers that I was going to go to the police. A few minutes later Zink recieves a call from Ryan Tompkins admitting that he has been behind this. But it wasn't just him. They were all in on it! Zink had done it, Cremeens had done it, and even Dylan. But none of them knew about the others doing it too. It's hard to explain. In any case they got me good because I really was about to go to the police. Shit.

Girl-
So I met this girl online and we went on a date yesterday. It was really fun! We hit it off really well. Cremeens and them kept calling me and fucking with me throughout the night, but it was o.k. I would like to see her again before I leave for LA this monday, but those McBastards at McDonald's gave me a shitty McSchedule this week that has me working every day starting tomorrow up until I leave. Late shifts too. I only work until eight on Sunday so hopefully we can work something out.

Well that's my week in a nutshell. I'm not a good storyteller and some of the stuff I just said prolly didn't make much sense but too fucking bad. I'm out bitches.

Wisdom Teeth [Jun. 10th, 2005|10:22 am]
[mood | mellow]
[music |Drunk Again - Reel Big Fish]

I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Everyone kept telling me how much it was going to suck, but I don't think it was bad at all. I guess different people recover at different speeds. When I woke up after the surgery, I said some pretty fucked up shit. When the anesthesia wore off after about an hour, I felt completely fine. No pain whatsoever. Now it is day 2. I feel nothing but a dull pain that is barely noticeable. My cheeks are beginning to swell just a bit, but if I keep this heat pack on I should be fine. If you are someone who hasn't had their wisdom teeth pulled yet and thinks it will be bad, think again. It's nothing.

College Orientation [Jun. 6th, 2005|11:30 pm]
[mood | excited]
[music |Haunt You Every Day - Weezer]

I went to my NIU orientation today. A lot of stuff hit me all at once. I was in a situation where I didn't know anybody and I had to befriend them through the course of the day. It wasn't actually that bad. Everybody was very welcoming. All the rumors are true. Stereotypes and cliques dissappear in college. Everybody's the same. I registered for all my classes and since I had orientation on the first day I got everything I wanted. My earliest class starts at 11 A.M. and on Fridays my last class is over at 1 or 2. Pretty good deal. We also took an extended tour of the campus and learned everything there was to know about NIU. I also found out which dorm I will be in. Grant Tower. The "ghetto" dorm. It's not really that bad. It smells a little funky and is not kept up the best, but the setup is perfect for me and my car will be parked in the parking lot right next to it. It is unusual to find a good place to park your car at a college campus, so I feel lucky. All in all everything worked out. From what I saw today, I will be enjoying the lady situation up there. There are a lot of pretty girls up there and I can't wait to (hopefully) hook up with some of them. Peace fuckers.

Night Walks [Jun. 5th, 2005|12:02 am]
[mood | thoughtful]
[music |Hard to Handle - The Black Crowes]

Tonight we went on one of the biggest night walk ever. As usual we went to big creek but there were so many people. We actually brought a flashlight on this one but I decided that flashlights aren't the way to go. I'm not sure why but it's just more adventurous without the flashlights. Something very unexpected happened tonight too. About halfway down the trail a guy on a bike passed us. I've never seen anyone else out there that late before and I sure as hell wasn't expecting a bike rider. Well that was quite an eventful night walk. I've got to go up to my college orientation tomorrow so see you later....

Cinderella Man [Jun. 4th, 2005|12:29 am]
[music |A Punch Up at a Wedding - Radiohead]

I saw Cinderella Man tonight. I'm pretty sure it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Go see it. You will not regret it. I didn't even really want to see it when I went because it didn't seem like my type of movie but once it started I was hooked. Give it a try.

Lazy [Jun. 2nd, 2005|02:34 pm]
[mood | energetic]
[music |Automatic - Less Than Jake]

So I've decided to quit being so lazy. I've recently been running two miles a day. It's a shame that I've become so out of shape. I used to be a pretty good runner. Oh well. If I stick to it I should be in good shape by the end of the summer. I felt so productive yesterday. I got up, ran with Soe, mowed the lawn, and later went on a night walk with a bunch of people at lakeland. I just realized how soon I'm gonna be leaving for college. My orientation is on Monday. Wow. I'm a little bit scared but I'm excited. I am gonna miss a lot of people though.

Propoganda [May. 31st, 2005|06:33 pm]
[mood | disappointed]
[music |The Battle of Who Could Care Less - Ben Folds Five]

I went to a hardcore show last night. It sucked pretty bad, but I liked one of the bands a lot. They were called While I Breathe, I Hope and ironically were not a hardcore band. That figures because I'm not a huge fan of hardcore. They were on tour and came all the way up from Memphis to play in shitty central Illinois. After the show me, Dylan, Pickel, Doug Gayton, Erika Taylor, and a bunch of other people went to Denny's. I'm confident that that was some of the worst service I have ever had. Wow. I don't even want to talk about it. On a separate note, for all those interested, my cd is finally available at Capital for $5.00. That's all I gotta say for now - I'm out.

California [May. 29th, 2005|09:22 pm]
[mood | content]
[music |Gup Gown - Giles]

So I just made plans to go to L.A. this June! I'll be gone from June 20th through June 27th. Soe will be coming with me too. I'm looking forward to seeing all the hot California girls and all the grade A bums. I can't believe how well everything fell in place. I bought a new cd the other day called Giles. It's striaght up electronica created by one of the guys from between the buried and me. It's weird as hell but I love it. That's all I have to say for now. Peace out.

Slinky [May. 27th, 2005|12:04 pm]
[mood | nervous]
[music |Dirty Laundry - Don Henley]

Not much has happened to me lately. Last night Dylan, Pickel, and me went on a "night walk". A "night walk" is pretty much self explanitory. We get a group of people together and take a walk through the woodland trails. It can get quite ruthless at times because it is so dark and you can't see two feet in front of you. No joke. We never bring flashlights to light the way. All we have are lighters to help us get through the dense dark Deloman Woods. Most of you don't know what the fuck I am talking about so I will just shut up now. Until next time........................................

Ice Cream Cake [May. 25th, 2005|04:25 pm]
[mood | bored]
[music |Lives int the Balance - Jackson Browne]

I've been graduated for about five days now and nothing seems different than it did before. Everything has been incredibly boring. My CD is finally done! I've already sold 19 copies and I am going to put it up at Capital soon in hopes that I can sell more. I've got to get out of this town. It is dead! There's never anything to do. Ever! That's all I have to say for right now.

Get to know me, graduation, and my cd. [May. 19th, 2005|11:24 pm]
[mood | bored]
[music |Give Judy My Notice - Ben Folds]

Hey this is my first entry. My name is Andrew. I am graduating tomorrow. I can't wait because I'm sick of central Illinois. I am going to NIU next year. I love the suburbs of Chicago. I recorded a CD a couple of weeks ago of me playing the piano and singing. My musical style is influenced greatly by my favorite musical artist Ben Folds. My CD will come out tomorrow and will be sold at my graduation party.
